Faakhir Mehmood is an actor, singer, keyboardist, composer, and music producer from Pakistan. He began his career as a member of the Pakistani musical ensemble Awaz. However, the band disbanded owing to conflicts of interest, and each member moved on to become a solo artist. Haroon, a well-known musician, was also a member of the band Awaz.
Early life:
Faakhir Mehmood was born in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, on April 20, 1973. He is a songwriter as well as a vocalist. He understands how to use music effectively. His music incorporates a variety of European and Western influences. He is a philanthropist as well as a performer, songwriter, and composer. Faakhir Mehmood constantly put his songs to good use. Career:
Asad Ahmed and Faakhir Ahmed joined the band as keyboardists and guitarists, respectively. Before 2006, Faakhir has released three albums. Mantra is his most recent album. Mahi Ve, another song from the album, got two Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards in India. At the event, he also performed.
Faakhir began working on his album ‘Aatish’ in July 2000, and in August he released his debut single, a patriotic anthem called ‘Dil Na Lagay, Pakistan.’
Faakhir’s live performances have carried his music all over the world, including the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, as well as all of Pakistan.
Faakhir has shared the stage with a number of European contemporaries, including Sukhbir and Stereo Nation, to mention a few. Faakhir started working on his debut album, ‘Aatish,’ in 2002, after opting to go solo.

Momina Mustehsan and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan provided vocals for the song. “Dilruba Na Raazi,” a Pashto traditional folk song that he sang alongside Zeb Bangash, was his second performance at Coke Studio. He performed Dil Kamla alongside Natasha Khan (a Pakistani singer).
- In 2017, Faakhir Mehmood made several significant statements on social concerns, which were covered by a prominent Pakistani daily. Faakhir has previously served as the World Health Organization’s UN Goodwill Ambassador.
