Pakistani Climber Shehroz Kashif Sets Two New World Records

 

With his two successful excursions to the world’s two highest peaks, Pakistani climber Shehroz Kashif has established two new world records.

Shehroze Kashif holds the Guinness World Record for being the world’s youngest climber to summit the world’s two tallest mountains, Everest (8849m) and K2 (8611m), in the same year and within three months.
Kashif is a 19-year-old Lahore native who scaled the peaks of the world’s tallest mountains in just 138 days. Shehroz Kashif, according to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, became the youngest Pakistani to climb the world’s second tallest mountain, K2, in northern Pakistan, in July 2021.

At the age of 11, the young Pakistani began climbing mountains by scaling the 3885m Makra Peak. Later, he ascended Musa Ka Massalah at 4080 metres and Chembra peak at 4600 metres. (4600m). He’s also the first person to summit the 6050m Manglik Sar Shimshal peak at the age of 13, K2 Gondogoro La K2 Base Camp (5585m) at the age of 14, and Khurdopin Pass (5890m) at the age of 15.

Prior to Shehroz, according to Haidri, Sajid Sadpara, who was 20 at the time, was the youngest climber to summit K2 in 2019. This summer, a number of climbing teams are aiming to summit K2. Along with Shehroz, another Pakistani climber, Muhammad Sharif, summited the mountain on Tuesday.

“Shortly after them, a Pakistani team from Hushe Mountaineering School, commanded by Ali Durani and featuring Muhammad Hassan, Mushtaq Ahmad, and Usuf Meeri, summited the mountain and hoisted the green flag,” Haidri stated.

Kashif Salman, Shehroz’s father, told APP that his son had really broken two world records. “K2 has been successfully climbed by him.” I am pleased to inform you that he has established two world records. He has climbed Mount Everest and K2 in less than three months, becoming the first youngster to accomplish it. He insisted, “This is a glorious time for Pakistan.”

Shehroz became the world’s youngest Pakistani to summit Mount Everest (8849 metres) in May of this year.
